Chelsea sacks Jose Mourinho after disastrous start in Premier League

Seven months after leading the English team to victory in Premier League, Chelsea’s manager Jose Mourinho was sacked on Thursday. The decision came three days after their loss against Leicester City 2-1, adding to the miserable start of the season.
Standing at the 16th place, Chelsea suffered their 9th loss this season, just a point above the relegation places. After Mourinho re-acquired the manager post in 2013, he lead the team to three league titles- the FA Cup, Community Shield and three Premier League Cup wins over two spells, making him the most successful manager in the 110-year history of the club. He was banned from the Stoke City stadium earlier in November for refusing to leave the referee’s cabin, and accused the officials of being ‘weak’. He was fined $40,000 too, after a decision by a three-man disciplinary committee of the Football Association.
Reports say that the 52- year-old is unlikely to retire and might be picked up by the rising French club Paris Saint-Germain.
