Within 170 days of its launch, Reliance Jio sim cards have crossed the 100 mn customer mark, This feat has been impossible to achieve by numerous telecom companies in the country. According to Firstpost, Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries (RIL) said Reliance Jio will continue to offer free voice calls and national roaming post April 1, when its promotional free voice and data offer ends. For existing customers, the current tariff will continue for the next 12 months by paying Rs. 303 per month.

It was announced that a Jio Prime Membership has been arranged for the 100 MN customers. With this plan, the members pay a one-time fee of Rs. 99 and enjoy the benefits till March 2019. Records show that 7 customers were added to the cellphone network every second since its launch five months back. Ambani claimed that they have beaten Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype in adding customers.

Announcing its “Happy New Year”offer, which is similar to the initial plans, tReliance has announced free voice and data to attract more customers. The Happy New Year expires on March 31, 2017.
