Undertaker returns, announces his entry in Royal Rumble

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) unfolded its latest weekly edition of Raw with surprise returns and a title change. Perhaps, the spotlight shone brighter when WWE legend Undertaker returned and announced his participation in the 30th Royal Rumble which will take place on January 29, 2017, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Taker made his appearance soon after being taunted by WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon and Raw commissioner Mick Foley. “I’ve dug 29 holes for 29 souls… and I will be bringing the dark side to the Royal Rumble match”, Taker said. He also spoke about his 21 undefeated Wrestlemania streak which he lost to Brock Lesnar in 2014.

Since 2014, Taker competed in five headlining matches and it is believed this will be his last Royal Rumble match before the 51-year old wrestler calls for a retirement from professional wrestling.

Taker enters the Royal Rumble match along with 2015 winner Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, Baron Corbain and Chris Jericho are already favourable winners as per the fans. Bill Goldberg, who made his return to 2015 WWE Survivor Series, also announced his entry to the match. Furthermore, first WWE Universal champion Finn Balor is also expected to return after a brief shoulder injury at WWE Summerslam.

The Undertaker last won a Royal Rumble match in 2007.
