In Haryana’s Hisar district, murder accused ‘godman’ Rampal was closeted within his ashram and is also surrounded by armed followers for two weeks. Rampal who runs the Satlok Ashram is claimed to be unwell by his followers and hence cannot travel to Chandigarh.
Since 2010 Rampal has skipped 42 hearings and sought of being free from the obligation repeatedly. The spokesperson of the ashram Raj Kapoor said that a medical certificate will be presented to the High Court to seek more time. The High Court observed and decided to check the credibility of the medical certificate issued by Dr. O P Hooda.
For the 2006 case, Rampal is out on a bail because of his supporters who opened fire on the villagers of Rohtak killing one and injuring several others. Last week Punjab and Haryana High Court rejected Haryana government’s plea and on the other hand placed a non bailable warrant against Rampal.
In Barwala town for over a fortnight Rampal’s followers have been camping outside his ashram to prevent the police from arresting Rampal. According to the officials, security measures are increased around the premises of Punjab and Haryana High Court along with Panchkula and Mohali and additional security have been provided around the railway station and bus to prevent Rampal’s followers.
Rajasthan: In Rajasthan’s Sikar district a woman was paraded naked by her husband after an argument. Eyewitness said that the woman was paraded naked in Kanarkar village in Sikar which is over 115 km from Jaipur.Her mouth was stuffed by a piece of cloth and after this incident she fainted.
She was thrown out from home by her husband on Sunday afternoon after an intense argument, eyewitness added. Police on the other hand, have strongly denied that she was in this condition.They reported that the 42 year old woman was thrown out of the house in a half-naked state.
Superintendent of Police Ravi said “We have received the statement by their 10 year old daughter so we do not have such any reason to disbelief her. We have already arrested the husband.”
The woman was beaten up by her drunken husband before being thrown out of the house in a half-naked state. Villagers were going to stop him but they too were threatened.
Kolkata: A school teacher in West Bengal set herself ablaze after constant humiliation over her dark complexion. Brototi Das (32) was unable to bear the constant remarks on her complexion from her relatives.
“I wanted to marry a boy from Kolkata. But my family members used to taunt me by referring to my dark complexion. I had to put up with constant humiliation for my complexion. I was told all the time that nobody will marry me” the woman said in a statement at a Kolkata hospital two days back.
Police sources said that she set herself on fire by pouring kerosene at her home in East Midnapore district’s Chandipur village on November 12, and died at the Tamluk Hospital early on Sunday. She was shifted to the hospital on Saturday morning with hundred percent burns.
In west Delhi a 30-year old women from Assam was assaulted and gang raped by four of her neighbours, Police said on Saturday. The accused have been arrested and sent to Tihar Jail.
Since her husband passed away, the woman has been living alone in Mundka area in west Delhi. She complained that four of her neighbours had been harassing her for some time. They barged into her house, thrashed and raped her on November 8.The woman was admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital from where she was referred to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.
Hearing commotion in the house, someone made a PCR call following which a Police team rushed to the spot, a Police officer said. The woman was discharged from the hospital but is being counselled. The officer said, in this case of gang-rape, house trespass and relevant sections have been registered and required investigation is underway.

A duo had taken a Delhi based 14 year old girl employing her as a local bar
dancer. Crime Branch has arrested the Thane based couple suspected of human
trafficking. Karasingh Ramkripal Bhedia (55) and his wife Rajjo (50) were identified
as the accused and were arrested from their home in Savarkar Nagar in Thane on
“On July 10, the girl fought with her parents and left the house. Then she stayed
with a local boy in his home but the boy soon realized he would be in trouble so
he left her with the Bhedia couple.”- Inspector Sanjay Surve said.
Surve said that she gave a blank call to her brother which rose suspicion in their
minds leading them to inform the police. After investigating the number they
reached the accused but as of yet the duo haven’t confessed their involvement in
human trafficking. The local boy is yet to be caught who left the girl with the
couple. Instead the women claim to have adopted the girl as they don’t have a
According to the police it may be the roots of big human trafficking racket
operating in the city. The same night Delhi police took custody of the couple and
put them under pertinent sections dealing with trafficking and the teen has been
reunited with her family.

Fresh developments in the marksheet case against RS Katheria, MoS for Human Resources Development have been unearthed. Katheria has been charged for having faked his work experience as well. He has been accused of forging record of his work experience as three years in a college in Etawah while appearing for the designation of a reader in a college Agra in 1999. Enquiry by the state police has alleged that he never worked in a college in Etawah.
The case has been filed by a Bahujan Samaj Party candidate who lost to him by a slim margin in 2009 national elections. Previous charges in the petition include tampering with two of his Bachelors and his second year Masters marksheets to feature more marks. He claims that the charges are part of a political vendetta. He substantiates that he had been found not guilty in proceedings conducted in this regard in the U.P. government under Mayawati.
His attempts in 2012 to get the case quashed by the Allahabad High Court did not succeed and the Court further directed the Agra Court to find the resolution to this. If convicted, the MoS can get up to seven years of imprisonment.

New Delhi: December 8th was fixed as the date when the arguments will commence over the framing charges against the guilty in the IPL spot-fixing fiasco.
The charge sheet filed in the case alleges that Dawood Ibrahim and his compatriot in crime Chhota Shakeel were behind the scandal.
The accused have been charged with cheating and conspiracy along with many sections of the Indian Penal Code. They also have been accused under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act.
The charges which run into 6,000 pages have include cricketers S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan, among other accused in the scandal which rocked IPL-6.
It was in the 1993 Mumbai blasts that Dawood Ibrahim and his aide Chhota Shakeel were last seen. They have been on the run ever since. The police have also confirmed that both of them have not returned to India.
